City lots and country acreages
Inside Calgary, we handle grading, basement digs and trenching on tight residential lots. Out in the counties, we build driveways, culverts, dugouts and shop pads on acreages and farms. Each area has its own permit rules, and we help you sort them out before we start.

Excavation & Grading
Basements, trenches, grading, site prep and dirt hauling.

Culvert Installation
New and replacement culverts for driveways, approaches and ditches.

Gravel Driveways
New gravel driveways built on a real base, plus repairs and regrading.

Land Clearing
Trees, brush, stumps and rocks cleared and the ground left ready to use.

Dugouts & Ponds
Dugouts, stormwater ponds and recreation ponds dug to hold water.

Shop & Building Pads
Level, compacted pads for shops, garages, homes, bins and equipment.
Permits depend on where you are
Rules change between the city and each county. We help you check what applies before we dig.
City of Calgary
Basements and additions fall under your building permit, and lot grading must meet City grading rules.
Counties
Rural jobs may need a development permit. Most counties also need a road approach permit before a culvert goes in at a public road.
Burning brush
In most counties you need a fire permit to burn brush piles from land clearing.
Ponds and dugouts
Some ponds need approval under Alberta's Water Act, especially if they draw from a creek or change a wetland.
